Project Objective

We all were young and beautiful once, but as they get older, it seems that there is no place for us to look pretty again. This fashion show aims to make the senior feel young and beautiful again. Prior to the event, volunteers and the senior select jackets and shoes together, and rehearsed the performance. On the day of the show, the seniors were all excited. Volunteers helped the seniors to wear make ups, dress up and accompanied them cat walking. The flashlights kept flashing, music was loud,
they all had fun and fill the senior Home with laughter and joy.

A senior living in the residential care homes suffering from dementia

When I was younger, I used to dress up a lot, especially for family dinners. Today’s event reminds me about the wonderful memories, especially the clothes I wore to my father’s birthday party and the way I used to make up, which I will never forget. Now, I’m so happy that I get to wear a nice shirt, hat and makeup. I asked he photographer made few more copies of the photos for my daughters.
